Invisalign clear aligners gradually adjust the position of your teeth over the course of treatment. Along the way, you progress through a personalized set of aligner trays, each slightly moving your teeth closer to their correct spot. 

How does Invisalign work? Here are a few key points to note: 

• The goal of clear braces is to correct crowding, gapped teeth, and/or your bite for a straighter smile. 
• You must wear aligners for at least 22 hours a day to see accurate results. Sticking to the schedule is key for ensuring that they move your teeth efficiently. 
• About every two weeks, you’ll move to a new tray. The total Invisalign treatment is often between 12 and 18 months long. 
• Aligners are removable, so you take them out to get at and drink non-water liquids. Thoroughly clean your teeth before re-inserting them. This prevents staining to keep your aligners clear and discrete. 
• Check in with the dentist every 6-10 weeks to ensure your treatment is going as planned.
